To photograph is to hold one’s breath, when all faculties converge to capture fleeting reality. It’s at that precise moment that mastering an image becomes a great physical and intellectual joy’ Henri Carier-Bresson
I love weddings, it is as simple as that.
I once read that ‘The most important role of the wedding photographer is to document the story from a place of stillness’. It reflects my approach so beautifully that I will always remember it. I am the gently reassuring presence, quietly documenting your precious moments and occasionally standing in to fix a button hole or straighten a veil (when asked obviously!)
My style of wedding photography could be described as a cross between fine art & documentary. I spend most of my time in the background capturing genuine moments as they happen, and for a few short moments during the day I will offer a little light direction to create some beautiful portraits that reflect the love and happiness of your wedding day.
I love the timeless nature and soft beauty created in natural light, so I use it when ever possible.
I photograph weddings primarily in the Midlands, but I am also available to photograph throughout the UK and abroad. New places excite me but I do have my few favourite venues, but don’t ask its a secret!
Photographing weddings is a real passion for me, I love to notice those moments. Your parents gently holding hands in the front row of church, the reassuring wink from the best man to the groom, even the two year old at the reception introducing herself to her own reflection! They tell a story for me and there is nothing I like more than a good story.
