Fiona & Steven
I haven’t photographed a wedding at The Old Vicarage Boutique Hotel in quite a while and it was a real treat to be back there three times this year. It is a beautiful space, with an interesting mix of clean modern styling in a stunning historic building, right in the heart of Southwell and only 10 minutes from my home! It is the perfect venue for small, intimate weddings and the perfect back drop to Fiona & Steven’s stylish and elegant wedding. As a graphic designer I knew the Fiona’s styling of the day was going to be stunning, and I wasn’t wrong. Every detail was exquisite from chic colour palette to the unusual mix of foliage, it was a real delight to photograph. Not to mention the lovely couple themselves, who, were a photographers dream.

Getting Ready at The Old Vicarage
I don’t think I have seen as big a bathroom as the one in the bridal suite at the Old Vicarage, it is big enough for an entire bridal party to get ready!
Ceremony at The Old Vicarage
Couples have a choice a the Old Vicarage Boutique as the whether they prefer an indoor or outdoor wedding ceremony. During the warmer and drier weddings, couples can get married outside in the bandstand which sits in the hotel gardens. Fiona & Steven has already chosen the hold their ceremony inside, the elegant styling of the space suited their vision beautifully, with the clean colour palette and stunning chandelier.
Wedding Photography at The Old Vicarage
It was lucky that they already had their heart set on an indoor ceremony however, as the rain didn’t let up all day! As weddings go this has to be one of the wettest I have every photographed. Did it dampen they day though? Not a jot! We captured some beautiful portraits inside the lovely spaces at the Old Vicarage and with the cosy bar area and lounge the guests had plenty of space to relax and I had ample opportunity to capture those wonderful candid moments.
