Prestwold Hall wedding photography
I have been looking forward to Caroline & Alex’s Preswold Hall wedding ever since we met for a chat at the wine bar in Southwell to talk over their big day. The was they spoke about their vision for the day was altogether my language. They had planned a classical elegant, fun filled, summer’s wedding day at the magnificent Preswold Hall in Leicestershire.
I had a real first during the morning of Alex & Caroline’s wedding day. I was busily photographing the bridal preparations the morning of the wedding, and having a giggle with the girls playing Harry Potter trivia, when a butterfly fluttered past my camera lens and delicately landed right onto the brides eyelashes! It was one of those incredible fleeting moments where I grabbed my camera and clicked, the moment gone in a moment, and I was so happy when I glanced down at my camera and saw the image perfectly preserved. I know there is a lot of importance played on the appearance of butterflies during special times, and whether you believe in it or not I am sure this little chaps appearance is a good omen for Alex & Caroline’s future together.
Capturing their wedding day was perfect; from the delicious light complementing that gorgeous deep blue in the bridal suite, to the guests relaxing and having fun playing garden games and sipping drinks in the sunshine. I hope to visit Prestwold Hall again soon, so if you are planning your wedding there in the future I’d love to hear from you. A big thank you to the lovely Kate for second shooting for me on this lovely Prestwold Hall wedding.
