I always love making the trip down to the beautiful Cotswolds to capture some of that stunning charm in some Blackwell Grange wedding photos. Blackwell Grange has become one of my most visited wedding venues and is fast becoming one of my favourites, and it never disappoints.

Breaking away from my traditional itinerary for the day Helena & Sam decided to start their coverage with Sam at a local barn where they got ready on the morning of the wedding. I met the guys there and photographed some of those last minute preparations before heading over to Blackwell to meet Helena and the girls. Helena, the beautiful bride-to-be was set up in The Potting Shed, the dedicated bridal room at Blackwell Grange, with her Mum and two bridesmaids. I always enjoy walking into the bridal room the morning of the wedding. The warmth of hairdryers, the scent of perfume mingled with lashes of hairspray, the dress loveingly hung on a rail or doorway, full of anticipation. It’s easy to forget as a professional in this industry, when we spend out lives around weddings, how it feels to be in the middle of your first ever wedding experience. The morning preparations of a wedding day always bring be right back to those feelings of excitement and nerves, of not knowing how the day will unfold, of what the future after that day might look like.

I always love travelling down to The Cotswolds, it’s a beautiful part of the country and I often enjoy spending time exploring the area. The Cotswold’s is home to some stunning barn wedding venues, Blackwell Grange being one of my most visited and probably one of my favourites.
