I shot my very first wedding at Stubton Hall, back when it very first opened, and I have loved working there ever since. The venue has developed in that time to a beautiful luxury wedding venue, the perfect location for the classic elegance of Collette and Andrew wedding this autumn.

Autumn is by far my favourite season. I love the slow transition from green to orange, the appearance of cinnamon everywhere (yep I’m that person who loves pumpkin spiced anything!) I love the chill in the air and the smell of bonfires. Most of all I am obsessed by that soft, low autumn sunlight that makes everything sparkle with a gentle glow, so photographing weddings at this time of year makes my heart sing. Collette & Andrew’s wedding was full of the beauty of autumn. I loved the soft muted colours of Collette’s flowers complementing the rich navy of the men’s suits and the bridesmaids dresses. I loved the detail in the lace sleeves of Collette’s stunning Suzanne Neville gown. I loved how the warmth of the rooms at Stubton Hall complemented the autumn light so beautifully: but most of all I loved photographing the joy and happiness of this lovely couple, faces beaming with the biggest smiles they clearly enjoyed every minute of their wedding day, as did I 🙂
Collette and Andrew chose a dream team of suppliers for their wedding at Stubton Hall, and it was such fun running into some familiar faces all taking care of Collette on the morning of the wedding. It was great to see Helen Sutcliffe and Josephine Way pampering Collette with beautiful hair and makeup, whilst the lovely Julia from Frances Day bridal was on hand to help Collette into her stunning Suzanne Neville dress. The stunning floral creations were by the talented Michelle from Jacaranda, and Fran from Modern Heritage styling created magic in the wedding breakfast room with stunning decor.
