Blackwell Grange Wedding

I’m back in the beautiful Cotswolds countryside today for this beautiful Blackwell Grange wedding. I am in love with this new luxury barn wedding venue, and was delighted to shoot off back down for the wedding of the lovely, and exceedingly smiley Marisa & Joe.

It’s a wonderful privilege to be chosen to capture a couples wedding day, but when the groom is best friends with your brother it feels an extra special honour, and what a wedding day it was! Marisa and Joe got married in the picture perfect little church just walking distance form their home in the little village of Farringdon. I had visited the couple a few months before and had a little tour of the village, and was delighted to find that in the intervening months the foliage covering the little church had turned a beautiful shade of russet, absolutely perfect for their autumn wedding day, and made for some stunningly vibrant portraits outside the church after the ceremony. When you choose October for your Blackwell Grange wedding a dose of fall foliage is a delightful addition and really adds a sense of time and place to the collection.

There was just so much joy throughout this wedding day; it was uplifting and wonderful to photograph such a happy, kind and considerate couple. Not to mention Marisa’s completely infectious smile that made more than a little appearance throughout their collection. There were so many wonderful little touches throughout the day; from the homemade flapjack handed out after church to keep to guests going on their journey to their Blackwell Grange wedding venue – to the groom speech spoken in Spanish for his new Spanish bride, and provided in English for the non Spanish speaking guests. I particularly enjoyed the barn dance during the evening, the atmosphere was amazing and the dance floor was packed all night long. A big thank you to my amazing second shooter for the day Emma.
