I’ve been super excited to photograph the lovely Robyn & Adam’s Hazel Gap Barn wedding ever since we met. Not only is Hazel Gap a brand new Cripps Barn venue right on my doorstep but I knew that Robyn & Adam’s day there was going to be so personal and full of wonderful moments.
Hazel Gap Barn Wedding
Robyn & Adam had booked a beautiful little cottage local to Hazel Gap to spend some time together before the wedding and Robyn spent the morning there getting ready surrounded by her family and her lovely group of bridesmaids. They travelled over to Hazel Gap in a camper van which not only suited the relaxed barn vibe of the venue but also gave us the fab opportunity later in the day to take some cool shots with the camper. Robyn & Adam decided to make the most of the camper and take a little drive together (with Bella the dog of course) and spend some time after the ceremony just enjoying each other’s company. Except for a minor delay when the camper driver got lost, the guests didn’t miss them and enjoyed drinks and canapes in the lovely little courtyard outside of the barn – I think taking some time out just the two of you at some point during a wedding day is a fantastic and wonderfully romantic idea.
Details on the day
Robyn wore a stunning off the shoulder lace gown with the most beautiful beaded back piece with some cute bridal converse. While Adam wore a pale blue suit with a cool mint green bow tie, I love a groom in a bow tie! Their gorgeous naked cake was supplied by Ganache Cake House and Vanilla Moon Weddings supplied the vintage camper vans.
Hazel Gap itself it one of the newest venue’s in the portfolio of the fabulous Cripps Barns. I have shot at their Shustoke Farm Barns before and was super excited to see what their work right on my doorstep would be like. Hazel Gap is located on the Welback Estate in Nottinghamshire, somewhere I have visited time and time again, and I love the contemporary mix of rustic barn design and the elegant details and styling that Cripps always manage to create so beautifully.
A big thank you to Emma White from Coral & Stone for being a fab second shooter for the day x
