Sometimes there are those weddings that are just so much fun you don’t want to leave. Seriously, no matter how tired your feet are or how frazzled your brain is once the music starts playing and you get on the dance floor amongst a group of amazing people you just don’t want to go home. This was one of those weddings for me and Lucy. We had so much fun photographing Emma & Ryan’s wedding at Swancar Farm in Nottingham earlier this year, there are the sweetest couple and their friends and family made us feel so welcome.
I often ask my couples to try and describe the plans for their wedding day in three words; when I asked Emma & Ryan they chose ‘Fun, Rustic and Spring’, literally a perfect description of what we experienced on their day! From the moment I arrived to a bridal suite full of girls laughing at the bridesmaid who arrived late due to an unscheduled Mcdonalds stop on the way I knew the day was going to be filled with fun. The delicate soft pinks and greens that Emma chose for her accent colours spoke of soft spring mornings, carried through into the stunning floral creations by Floraldeco.
As for the weather we couldn’t believe how lucky we were, for a wedding in March I was fully expecting something a bit cold and grey but as we pulled into the drive at Swancar the sun was shining and the sky was a vivid blue, it stayed that way until sunset! A sunny day for two lovely sunny people, thank you for an amazing day guys xx
