I loved this engagement session! It had everything you could possibly want from the perfect shoot; a unique and personal location choice, fab weather, interesting variety of backdrops to choose from and most importantly a gorgeous couple totally lovely and totally in love!
Cat & Sam have booked me for their wedding this summer at the amazing Norwood Park and despite them living in LA we managed to fit in an engagement session for them before the big day. Cat particularly wanted their engagement shoot to have a quintessentially English feel to it, ideally in an English village with some old buildings and architecture, a typical British pub, possibly a red phone box and some cobbled streets for good measure, well I couldn’t think of anywhere better than Southwell! We had a great time exploring and it was a really interesting challenge for me to see a town I visit often through the eyes of a foreign visitor and recognise its wonderful charm. Including stopping at the Minster (of course) The Saracens head, a fish & chip shop and a red telephone box that sadly (but not unexpectedly) smelt of pee.
Cat & Sam have the most amazing modern day love story, and their love for one another just shines out of them! I had such an lovely time photographing them together because they were just so comfortable, happy and beautiful together. I just cannot wait for their wedding later in the year! xx
