Tipi Wedding Photography: I love all styles of weddings but I have a special fondness for tipi weddings. The light, the fresh air and the countryside style.
I’m so excited to share this wedding with you! Antonia & Dan’s wedding day was a combination of my most favourite wedding things. It was completely personal to them; the whole day took place in the village where Antonia & Dan live; Antonia got ready in the morning in her own home, they married at their local church in the beautiful village of Woodborough and they celebrated afterwards in Tipi’s on the land of a local farmer. They even served beef from Dan’s fathers cattle for their wedding breakfast (it was super delicious!) you can’t get more personal than that!
It was a beautiful summer’s day and the pretty farm inspired décor throughout the tipi reflected the season and the venue beautifully. Despite the days previous to the wedding being horrendously rainy the wedding site was dry (thanks in no small part to the bride & groom and their families working super hard the days before the wedding to drain the site and make it accessible the their guests) and Antonia only needed to don her wedding wellies for a walk into a nearby field for a few photos later in the day.You couldn’t meet two more warm and happy people; Antonia & Dan are that rare and beautiful thing of two wonderful people who suit each other so perfectly and clearly make each other tremendously happy. It was a joy and an honor to photograph their special day. (also a big thank you to Kate Lowe for being a fab second shooter for the day!)
